A Hubbell House guest brings us history
When a recent guest discovered that Thee Hubbell House property was once owned by Robert E Lee's cousin and that Colonel Stinson (the mansion builder & Governor Hogg's father-in-law) had fought for the Confederacy in Georgia - where his mansion was burned to the ground - he graciously gave us this beautiful antique colored print of General Robert E Lee, on his horse, from their antique shop in Hurst (DFW mid-cities). He said he just felt it was the right place for it. Labels: colonel stinson, hubbell House, robert e lee, Winnsboro |
